Seeking Ikigai ยท essays on AI and human purpose

Sarah Ariel Ennett

I am Sarah, seeking ikigai [a reason for being] - sharing learning, finding my people and voice. I want to create resources to help others get there too. I write to learn, to share, to question and to build methods to help others.

Depth over noise. Meaning over hype.

    About

    Hello, I'm Sarah

By day I lead business development for the Isle of Man, a small island with big ideas. The rest of the time I write Sarah Seeking Ikigai, a weekly essay series about AI and human purpose... well over a hundred essays and counting.

I think the real risk of AI is quieter than the headlines. When efficiency becomes the only measure of a life, meaning slips out the side door. I call this the ikigai risk, and everything I make here is a small, hopeful act of resistance against it.

If you're wondering where to begin: read an essay or two, wander the shelves above, and see what tugs at you. The journey matters just as much as the destination.

ikigai ... a reason for being

The thing that gets you up in the morning. Not just what you're paid for, not only what you're good at... the quiet overlap where meaning lives.

Iki means life. Gai means worth. My essays wander around one question: how do we keep hold of that worth while AI reshapes everything else?
